Detox Day 5 - Turquinoa Loaf

Breakfast:
Chocolate shake, nothing fancy.

Snack 
Fizz stick
2 caramel fit chews

Lunch 
Mango shake, so tropical!

Snack
Sweet Potato chips
Fizz stick

Dinner 

This is a very nice meal for a cold night like tonight. The quinoa makes it very high in protein. Very comforting and filling and we really enjoyed the combination of meat, brussel sprout chips, and sweet mashed potatoes. Grab a little bit of each of the perfect bite.


Ingredientes:

8oz of organic crimini mushrooms
1/2 sweet onion
1 lb of ground turkey
1 egg
1 cup of cooked quinoa
1 Tbsp of minced garlic
2 Tbsp of olive oil
1/4 cup of brown rice flour
3 Tbsp of tomato paste
1 Tbsp of agave
S&O al gusto

Paso a Paso:

1) Pre-heat oven to 375.

2) Chop the mushrooms very very finely with a food processor. Set aside in a large bowl.




3) Finely chop sweet onion and add to the bowl of chopped mushrooms.



4) Mix mushrooms, onions, turkey, egg, garlic, quinoa, rice flour and salt and pepper. Go ahead and use your hands. I did so I forgot to take a picture of the mixture =)


5) Put meat mixture in a loaf pan. I like to use foil at the bottom for easier Mix tomato paste, agave and a little more salt, and spread on top of the loaf.  Bake for 45 mins until meat thermometer reads 170 in the center.




6) Ding! It's ready. Please let it cool and cut into slices.




Dessert:
I had some strawberries and blueberries, topped a dollup of coconut whip cream and sliced almods. And, my tea, of course.
